![]() ![]() Many thanks and we look forward to talking with you soon. In responses, please specify your experience, availability to work over Jan 4 - Jan 8 TBC.Ĭrew rates and shoot details will be discussed upon contact. And be available for a 30min zoom Pre-Production Meeting with the director. Be able to transport yourself to and from the event. So if you know someone you feel comfortable working with, who can edit on the fly, we would love to chat. Phone will have small lighting/audio rig and be on a Ronin so you need to be comfortable with this small (but intense) setup.Īlso looking for an additional social media editor who can take the footage shot and edit on a second Iphone and post to social throughout event. We are looking for a Camera Operator for an upcoming 2-3-day non-union shoot at a Las Vegas event.Ĭamera Operator will be operating an Iphone 14 Pro Max throughout a press conference and through various event activities for our client at CES. Be advised you will not be operating the camera in this position, it is a camera utility role, thank you! Per network policies must be able to provide proof of vaccination status at the time of the event. This can be an entry level position and a great way to get your foot in the door of live sports broadcast and entertainment (experience is a plus, but as such is not required.) The dates the position requires are for set day of 11/16 and game day of 11/19. At the end of the game you will help with the breakdown of the Skycam and load out before dismissal. In the event it does stop at anytime you will just notify the Engineer in charge via radio and he will fix it. i'd say this has been happening for at least 8 years by now, maybe 10.Your job would be to help with the install of the Skycam (camera) and equipment on set day under the direction of the engineer in charge (EIC) and then on game day you will be stationed at the top of the stadium seating watching/observing the camera as it maneuvers back and forth on the suspension cables making sure it doesn't malfunction or stop for any extended period of time. ![]() even at conventions, we get requests all the time, so it's just a good thing to have around.īut yeah, huge devices blocking the singer isn't the look i'm going after. but for 3+ hour gigs, having it available is really nice. the venue appreciates it too, as the workers i see every week complain to me about "that other guy" who literally plays the same thing each time.įor a special performance or showcase, i would definitely tighten up a specific set if it's an hour or less. i also like having my lyric app so while my duo partner is singing, i can quickly look for a song that will complement his, or take us in a new direction for the set, etc.įor daily type gigs 3+ hours, i much prefer having the list and lyrics available for a dynamic gig, rather than doing the same 10 songs every time. people really appreciate when you can do something like that. if i don't have the song in my lyrics program, i can google on stage and do it as well. I need so many songs mostly for audience requests and i've found they care less about if you're looking at lyrics, and more if you can do their song. yes that takes some work to setup and figure out, but well worth it. apps like Bandhelper/Setlist Maker and others have scrolling text where the font can be big since it moves along as you play the song. I think the main reason for the huge device real close though is many are using Word or some normal text editor where the font is extremely small, or they want the entire page of lyrics on screen at once, forcing font size to be small. i definitely agree that a tablet literally face level blocking a performer is less than desirable. so if anything, it may be blocking my guitar strap. I use a phone-size device, lower than my face, angled as flat as possible for the sightline from the audience. if i could only do music every day, i'd probably remember more lyrics, but music unfortunately represents 10% of my work time these days, so i need the help. I agree that it'd be nice to not have a lyric display at all. When i gig, i have 300+ songs on tap that i sing + more songs that my partner plays which i don't need the lyrics.
